Established in 1971 Vista Tours Travel Inc. / Vista Travel Inc. by Peter and Marion Scocca Sr. Vista Travel opened its first location in Hazlet, NJ in the New York / Keansburg bus terminal located on Route 36. As a result of consistently providing customers with reliable travel information and service, the travel agency outgrew the bus depot. In 1974 Vista Travel moved to larger offices and established the Colonia location as it headquarters and kept the Hazlet location as a branch office.

In 1976, Vista Travel became one of the first travel agencies in the state to install United Airlines' reservation system, Apollo. Apollo provided Vista Travel with state of the art technology that helps the advisors to better serve their customers. Since then, information technology has played a strong role in Vista’s continued growth. We employ the latest in technology, implementing many new software products to improve efficiencies and to ensure the lowest fares. This automation moved into the back office in our reporting, reconciliation and accounting areas. With the ever-evolving technology, our clients can request itineraries via phone, e-mail or online.

In 1980 Peter and Robin Scocca joined the company and continued to expand the product offering. Some of their accomplishments have been establishing The Center for Continuing Professional Education (C.C.P.E.) a medical education company as well as Vista Travel Management Corporation, a women-owned small business with the SBA certification Small Disadvantage Business. In 2001 Peter and Robin took over the company’s operations and in March 2009, Peter and Robin purchased the business and have operated the company as it is today.

Guided by the company mission to offer unsurpassed service to travelers, Vista Travel continued to grow. As the second generation of a family owned business, Peter and Robin have grown the company to be one of the most recognized travel companies in the state of New Jersey Their focus is to develop new travel opportunities within the circle of business already established by Vista Travel. Peter serves as President and CEO of Vista Travel and Robin is the Vice President. Together along with their dedicated and experienced staff, they provide their clients with a level of knowledge unsurpassed in the industry today. Vacation Travel: Vista Vacations is a separate division of our organization specializing in leisure. Vista Travel’s corporate clients are offered special vacation discounts through our vacation portal website. Employees of Vista Travel corporate clients have the opportunity to access this custom branded website showcasing vacation specials at reduced prices.
